General Manager
Monday to Friday, 40-hour contract, London
£55,000 per annum
Fooditude is seeking an experienced, passionate General Manager to lead one of our flagship sites. This role brings people and operations together, with ownership for delivering exceptional standards.
Our General Manager will oversee a large, varied free-issue operation covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, events and customer experience—ensuring every service is seamless, welcoming and consistently brilliant.
Building a trusted client partnership will be central to the role. Our General Manager will understand the client’s priorities, turn ideas into action and continually find fresh ways to improve the experience and add value.
This is a busy, fast-paced environment requiring a hands-on leader who takes ownership and makes a real impact.
Our General Manager will lead, coach and develop a 20-person front- and back-of-house team, creating a positive culture where people feel supported, motivated and proud.
This is a Monday-to-Friday, 40-hour role. Shift times vary according to operational needs, so flexibility is required.
What we’re looking for:
- Progressive management experience in contract catering
- A genuine passion for food, drink and outstanding service
- A strong track record of delivering excellent customer experiences
- Meticulous attention to detail and consistently high standards
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams
- The confidence to turn ideas into successful projects
- A fresh, forward-thinking approach informed by food trends
Commercial and operational responsibilities:
- Manage site budgets, including revenue, labour, food costs and operating expenses, to achieve financial targets.
- Review financial performance, address variances and take action to protect profitability.
- Track and analyse food waste, identifying trends, root causes and opportunities for reduction.
- Use data to reduce waste and costs while improving efficiency, quality and the client experience.
