Graduate Scheme: Maritime Civil Engineer / Naval Architect

Company: Beckett Rankine
Apply for the Graduate Scheme: Maritime Civil Engineer / Naval Architect
Location: London
Job Description:

Our graduates are encouraged to become all-round engineers by working on a wide range of maritime projects both in the UK and overseas; from Thames piers and jetties to major West African ports, future-proofing coastal defences to the restoration of historic ships.

Progression

We provide frequent training opportunities for our graduates through both internal and external courses. Graduate training focuses on developing key site skills, such as riverside safety or confined space work, and design capability, such as Eurocode design or software use. We also run internal design and writing competitions, annual entries to the Merit scheme, and encourage staff members to present at PIANC YP seminars.

Responsibility

Our collaborative and personal working environment means graduates are given responsibility from day one and quickly gain experience across feasibility assessment, detailed design, project management and construction supervision.

Inclusivity

We pride ourselves on being a highly personal and inclusive company which fosters a collaborative working environment across all levels. We provide knowledge sharing sessions, monthly socials and a graduate buddy system to ensure all new starters can integrate quickly within the company.

A Day in the Life of a Graduate Engineer – Matt

I work in the London office and choose to go in everyday. Although working from home opportunities are available, I enjoy the team spirit and supportive environment the office brings.
