I’m partnering with a leading global reinsurance and insurance group to find a Legal Counsel to join its established Employment Advisory team.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of employment law, HR and business strategy, advising on a broad range of matters across the UK and abroad in a complex, highly regulated global environment.
The role
- Advise on the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and employee relations through to restructurings and exits.
- Handle a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
- Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders, providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
- Draft and negotiate employment-related documentation and help shape global policies, processes and best practices.
- Support corporate transactions, organisational change and multi-jurisdictional employment initiatives.
- Monitor legal developments and deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
About you
- A fully UK-qualified lawyer with 7+ PQE in employment law.
- Solid experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- A combination of private practice and in-house experience within a multinational organisation.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, banking or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable.
- Excellent stakeholder management, drafting and influencing skills, with a practical, solutions-led approach.
- International employment law experience and additional language skills would be advantageous.
Location: City of London
Working pattern: 3–4 days per week in the office
