IT Support Specialist

Overview

In this IT Support Specialist role, you ensure smooth operation of office, regional, and warehouse IT systems, delivering proactive technical support and training. You’ll implement new technologies, manage asset lifecycle, and collaborate with global teams to maintain service continuity. You’ll work on deployments, security practices, and documentation, shaping the IT backbone for a specialist sales and service business. This onsite position in Bedford offers a meaningful chance to influence daily operations and regional IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise-wide network availability and uptime
• Deploy and image systems using SCCM; support hardware and peripherals
• Provide remote support across EMEA, APAC, and North America
• Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user training
• Contribute to strategic IT initiatives (office moves, mass upgrades, asset lifecycle)
• Adopt security practices: antivirus, vulnerability scanning, patch management
• Support client devices, printers, and peripherals; manage inventory and asset records
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures
• Assist in rollout of new technologies and system changes
• Produce and update network and facility diagrams and procedures

Key requirements

• Cross-OS experience (Windows 10, iOS, Android)
• Ability to work independently and escalate as needed
• Experience with warehouse equipment, barcode printing, and scanners (preferred)
• Degree in computer science or engineering technology or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and training capabilities
