Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex non-domestic rating casework within defined national classes
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to NVU caseworkers and the wider network
• Coordinate central discussions like GPCRs and lead Class Co-ordination Teams (CCTs)
• Support and drive the Revaluation Programme with evidence gathering and central discussions
• Provide expert witness and advocacy in complex tribunals and appeals
• Undertake Peer Review and RV Assurance on high-risk valuations
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and professional partners
• Identify risks and opportunities and support capability development and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• MRICS/FRICS or IRRV(hons) membership
• In-depth technical knowledge of contractor’s basis and/or receipts and expenditure basis of rating valuation
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present complex info clearly
• Analytical and judgement skills for interpreting evidence
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities
• Demonstrable leadership to motivate and support others
• Understanding of commercial, economic and policy environment
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Willingness to travel to inspect sites
