Delivery Lead

Overview

In this Delivery Lead role within IG Group’s Product Operations, you own end-to-end delivery of cross-squad initiatives that span multiple product domains. You orchestrate Product Managers, Engineering Leads and stakeholders to achieve a single outcome, aligning governance with real delivery value. You operate in a product-led environment, focusing on outcomes over mere milestones, and you’ll contribute to improving delivery practices across the portfolio. This is a high-impact position with complex, multi-team programmes at scale, offering the chance to shape how major initiatives succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery plans for multi-squad initiatives and sequence work across teams that don’t normally plan together
• Break down initiatives into deliverable slices with value in each segment
• Identify and manage dependencies, handoffs, and sequencing constraints across squads
• Coordinate stakeholders (PMs, ELs, Compliance, Legal, Data) while not dominating daily squad work
• Foster psychological safety to enable issue resolution and problem-solving
• Maintain a unified view of risk, issues and critical-path dependencies; escalate clearly
• Resolve competing priorities and expose trade-offs to avoid silent slippage
• Own contingency and mitigation planning for potential derailments
• Act as single point of accountability for initiative status to senior leadership
• Translate complexity into decision-ready updates for senior leadership
• Demonstrate technical fluency to understand architecture and trade-offs across domains
• Apply formal project management discipline (planning, milestones, RAID) to unprecedented initiatives
• Feed lessons learned back to Product Operations and support portfolio-level reporting

Key requirements

• Programme Manager, Senior Delivery Manager, or Technical Project Manager with multi-team delivery
• Experience managing complex cross-team dependencies to resolution
• Strong stakeholder management with credibility to align PMs and ELs
• Technical understanding to engage with engineering leaders on architecture and sequencing
• Excellent communication; able to distill complex initiatives into clear updates for senior leadership
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build plans in uncertain environments
