Overview

In this role you will support the London branch by overseeing IT operations, infrastructure, and security to ensure a secure and efficient technology environment. You work closely with the Head of IT to maintain stable systems, manage incidents and changes, and drive IT projects and digitalization efforts. The position combines hands-on operational responsibilities with coordinating vendors and ensuring disaster recovery and business continuity. This is a Mandarin–English bilingual role within a banking context offering an opportunity to shape branch IT delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations and maintenance of the branch infrastructure
• Manage network and core system operations and maintenance
• Implement operations management requirements from HQ
• Handle changes, incidents, and problems
• Contribute to disaster recovery, emergency response, and business continuity
• Support employees with IT needs and ensure appropriate tech tools
• Assist information security work and safeguard the network against cybersecurity events
• Coordinate with IT vendors and third-party providers
• Support IT projects and digitalization initiatives in the London branch
• Possibly undertake additional duties to meet bank needs

Key requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• Bachelor degree in Computing and/or Engineering or related field
• Solid experience in IT operations, maintenance, and security with enterprise IT infrastructure and networks
• Independent problem solving with ability to resolve server/network/end-point issues
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
• Project management experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity (bonus)
• Familiarity with VMware infrastructure and Windows/Linux administration (bonus)
• Strong risk and compliance awareness
