Senior Regulatory Privacy Lawyer – Regulatory Legal

Overview

In this role you will lead and execute regulatory engagement on data protection for TikTok in Europe, shaping responses to investigations and interactions with regulators. You will support EU and UK digital regulation matters (DMA, DSA, AI Act) with a focus on GDPR interfaces, while helping advance the privacy governance program. You will collaborate across teams to balance innovation with regulatory responsibility, enabling scalable, compliant product operation across markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution of regulatory engagement and investigations regarding data protection
• Support broader regulatory matters related to DMA, DSA, AI Act in the EU and UK with emphasis on GDPR intersections
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on a wide range of regulatory privacy issues
• Support TikTok’s privacy governance program, policies and procedures in Europe

Key requirements

• European or UK qualified lawyer with strong privacy, governance and regulatory experience, preferably in-house
• Experience engaging with regulators, including data protection regulators preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to draft legal submissions
• Highly organized, self-motivated, able to drive challenging projects
• Comfortable giving sound advice under tight deadlines and managing competing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with legal and cross-functional stakeholders
