Depot General Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Andover depot to translate the logistics strategy into a robust operational plan, ensuring resources, processes, and leadership enable safe, efficient product delivery to 400+ stores. You’ll manage a large team, partner with third-party suppliers and unions, and work with senior leadership to drive a cost-effective operation. This is a high-impact position at the heart of Co-op’s food business, shaping performance and culture at scale. You’ll be empowered to foster continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to deliver service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an effective, customer-focused operational plan for the depot
• Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary leadership team and foster continuous improvement
• Build and maintain positive internal and external partnerships
• Deliver the operational plan within budget and maintain cost-effective operations

Key requirements

• Experience leading large-scale teams
• Experience delivering positive change in a large, complex environment
• Understanding of logistics/manufacturing/site management and/or end-to-end food retail operations
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing others
