Investment Banking Senior Analyst, M&A

Overview

As Investment Banking Senior Analyst at Citi, you support clients in raising capital and provide strategic M&A advisory within the Institutional Banking team. You help prepare proposals, financial analyses, and valuation materials to drive live deals. You work with senior bankers on client transactions and contribute to economic research and financial modeling. This role offers exposure to capital markets in a fast-paced, regulated environment with meaningful impact on client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data for client proposals and strategic plans
• Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials, and exhibits for pitches and live deals
• Conduct economic/financial research
• Evaluate a target’s financial performance against industry and market trends
• Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
• Collaborate with senior Banking officers on client transactions and projects

Key requirements

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
• Awareness of the FCA/PRA Certification Regime and related fitness and propriety assessments
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
