Senior Business Analyst – Core Banking Transformation – 11911JS

Overview

In this role you will drive end-to-end core banking transformation for a wholesale banking platform. You’ll work across business, operations, finance and technology to define the future-state platform, requirements, data model and interfaces, and to support vendor evaluation and go-live readiness. You will partner with cross-border teams to ensure the platform meets functional, data, integration and operational needs. This is a senior, hands-on position that shapes the target architecture and delivery approach in a complex, multi-region programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with business, operations, finance and IT to map current processes, data flows and interfaces
• Define functional and non-functional requirements with end-to-end traceability and translate into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Architect to define future-state data model, mappings and migration rules
• Specify interfaces between core banking, treasury settlement, general ledger and payment networks
• Own the RFP process from scope through evaluation, including scenarios and scoring, and lead vendor demonstrations
• Act as primary functional counterpart to platform vendors and delivery partners, resolving requirements and design queries
• Define test strategies and UAT scenarios, lead defect triage and establish business readiness criteria for go-live
• Coordinate stakeholders across international teams, manage priorities and escalate risks with options and recommendations

Key requirements

• 10+ years’ Business Analysis experience in banking
• End-to-end core banking or treasury platform replacement experience
• Strong wholesale banking product knowledge (FX, money markets, interest rate swaps, bonds, corporate lending)
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022 migration, and interface requirements
• Data modelling, data mapping and migration reconciliation experience
• Experience interpreting JSON/XML, REST APIs and event-driven APIs
• Proven experience authoring RFPs and evaluating enterprise banking software vendors
• Expertise in requirements management and traceability using Jira or Azure DevOps
• Process and interface modelling using BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart or similar
• Experience defining test strategies, UAT design and defect management
• Excellent workshop facilitation and senior stakeholder management across time zones
