Overview

In this role you will contribute to the Strategic Swaps Platform by delivering swap processing components and driving quality through automated testing. You will work in an Agile environment with CI/CD, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with Citi’s prime brokerage technology roadmap. You’ll analyze requirements, design solutions, and ensure code quality and reliability while mentoring junior developers. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of trading workflows, software engineering, and production support, offering impact through scalable, robust systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swap processing components (Java/Kotlin) for the Strategic Swaps Platform
• Drive automated testing with a focus on Test Driven Development
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to design, planning and estimation discussions
• Break work into technical tasks and maintain project documentation
• Collaborate with management to integrate functions and propose enhancements
• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements
• Resolve complex issues with leadership on high-impact projects
• Apply programming knowledge within the architecture blueprint and standards
• Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards
• Understand business, architecture and infrastructure integration to meet goals
• Support production by diagnosing and resolving escalations and contributing to post-mortems
• Provide coaching to junior developers and grads
• Implement software enhancements to improve reliability, performance and scalability
• Partner with technical leadership on cross-team initiatives

Key requirements
