Investment Banking Analyst, Consumer & Retail

Overview

As an Investment Banking Analyst at Citi, you support senior bankers in raising capital and advising on mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. You contribute to client proposals, financial analyses, and strategic plans within the Institutional Banking team. You help build complex models, conduct market research, and assess risk and compliance. This role offers exposure to high-profile deals and cross-functional collaboration, with a clear pathway to develop as a strategic advisor in capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Organize and analyze financial data for client proposals and strategic plans
• Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials, and exhibits for pitches and live deals
• Conduct economic/financial research and evaluate performance against industry trends
• Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and firm policies
• Support senior CIB officers on client transactions and projects
• Act as an intermediary in trading for clients

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
