MANORS is a golf brand exploring a new frontier for the game and culture. One guided by the sports past, that progresses with the people who play. We built the brand on the idea that golf is a game to be explored, not mastered. If you feel the same way, we’d love to hear from you about the role.
The Company
MANORS is a golf brand exploring a new frontier for the game and culture. One guided by the sports past, that progresses with the people who play. We built the brand on the idea that golf is a game to be explored, not mastered. If you feel the same way, we’d love to hear from you about the role.
The Opportunity
Manors are looking for a Wholesale Account Manager to look after the stores that carry our product and to find the next ones that should.
Our wholesale business spans green grass accounts (pro shops at golf clubs and resorts), traditional golf and lifestyle retail, and department stores, across the UK, Europe and North America. Each of those accounts runs differently, buys differently and needs looking after differently, and in this role you will make sure none of them slip through the cracks.
The role is built around two things.
First, owning our existing accounts: knowing how our product is selling in each store, where their stock is, when their next delivery lands, and when they need a top up before they ask.
Second, growing the book: handling inbound wholesale enquiries, going after the accounts we want to be in, and getting the right buyers through the door at our showrooms.
Twice a year, in January and June, we host showrooms in London and Paris to present each new collection to buyers. The Wholesale Account Manager will be central to both, from building the appointment diary through to following up on orders once the rails come down.
You’ll work closely with our Operations, Product and Marketing teams, and act as the voice of our accounts inside the business. What our stockists are seeing on the shop floor should shape what we make, how much of it we make, and how we support it.
Responsibilities include
Account management
- Acting as the main point of contact for all existing wholesale accounts, maintaining regular and open lines of communication with buyers and store teams.
- Tracking and analysing sell through by account, style, colour and size, and sharing clear, regular reports with the internal team.
- Using sell through data to recommend replenishments, reorders and stock rebalancing, and proactively checking in with accounts on their stock needs.
- Maintaining a clear view of every open order: what has been ordered, where it is, when it ships and when the account will receive it.
- Working with the Operations, Production, and our warehouse to keep accounts updated on delivery dates and to flag any delays early.
- Managing any account issues, including faulty goods, returns, shortages and delivery disputes, through to resolution.
- Working with the Finance team to make sure accounts are set up correctly, trading terms are agreed and payments are received on time.
- Visiting key accounts in person where relevant, building relationships with store staff and helping them understand and sell the product.
- Making sure each account has what it needs to present Manors properly in store, including product information, imagery, line sheets and point of sale materials.
- Gathering feedback from accounts on product, fit, pricing and competitor activity, and feeding this back to the Product and Marketing teams.
- Clearly communicating any custom order requirements to the Product team.
New business
- Managing all inbound enquiries from potential new wholesale accounts, qualifying them and responding promptly.
- Proactively researching, identifying and targeting the green grass, retail and department store accounts we want Manors to be in.
- Building and maintaining a wholesale pipeline in our CRM, with clear tracking of every prospect from first contact to first order.
- Booking new and existing accounts into our showrooms, and managing the appointment diary for each season.
- Onboarding new accounts, including account setup, trading terms, minimum order quantities and delivery schedules.
- Keeping an eye on which accounts suit the brand, and which don’t. Being in the right doors matters more than being in every door.
Showrooms and seasonal selling
- Playing a central role in our biannual showrooms in London and Paris, held each January and June as well as the annual PGA Show in Florida.
- Preparing for each showroom alongside the Product and Marketing teams, including line sheets, order forms, price lists and lookbooks.
- Presenting collections to buyers, taking orders and following up after each appointment.
- Consolidating seasonal orders and handing them over to the Operations team for production and delivery planning.
- Supporting attendance at relevant golf and fashion trade shows where it makes sense for the brand.
- Supporting the visual merchandising of each showroom, ensuring collections are presented clearly and in line with the brand.
- Analysing the performance of each showroom, recommending improvements for the next season.
- Helping to lead decisions on showroom spaces and locations, in line with wholesale targets and budgets.
Reporting and planning
- Owning wholesale sales reporting, including revenue by account, sell through, reorder rates and season on season performance.
- Contributing to wholesale forecasts and seasonal targets to help inform buying and production quantities.
- Keeping account records, contacts and order history up to date.
Benefits
- Generous holiday allowance
- Flexible work from home attitude
- A quarterly round of team golf
- Employee discount code
We are a close-knit group who wish to champion a dynamic, inclusive and friendly atmosphere within our team. Regular team outings are encouraged. We are at an exciting growth phase within the business and the team is set to grow, so this is a chance to get in at an early level.
What to Expect
- You’ll work from our London office, but will frequently travel for face to face meetings with accounts and prospects.
- You will attend our London and Paris showrooms each January and June, which will involve overseas travel and some longer days.
- Depending on the account, further overnight or overseas travel may be required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in wholesale or account management within fashion, apparel or sport. Golf industry experience, or existing relationships with green grass and golf retail buyers, is a strong bonus.
- A good understanding of how wholesale works, including seasonal order books, delivery windows, trading terms and replenishment.
- Confidence analysing sell through data and turning it into clear recommendations.
- Strong IT skills, including spreadsheets, CRM systems and B2B ordering platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to present to buyers face to face.
- A proactive approach to new business, with the drive to open doors rather than wait for them to open.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts, orders and deadlines at once.
- A collaborative approach to work and the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
- The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals.
- A genuine interest in golf, menswear and the culture around both.
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to a fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, including to Paris for our showrooms.
