An individual living in the Cottingham area is seeking a support worker for 11.75 hours per week to assist with daily living activities, community access and parenting responsibilities.
About the role
The successful candidate will support with:
- Cleaning and general household duties.
- Laundry and ironing.
- Meal preparation and cooking.
- Changing and making beds.
- Attending appointments.
- Accessing the community.
- Supporting the individual with parenting responsibilities and childcare-related activities.
A car driver would be preferred but is not essential and can be discussed further at interview.

The successful candidate should:

- Be adaptable and responsive to changing support needs.
- Be comfortable working in a family environment with children present.
DBS/reference checks will be required for this post. The cost will be met by the local authority.
The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
