Sharp Talent is recruiting on behalf of Control Flow Technologies for an experienced, outgoing Field-based Appointment Setter to join its Cambridge team.
This isn’t a traditional hard-sell sales role. You’ll work on behalf of a major utilities company, visiting residents to explain water-saving services, carry out simple assessments and arrange appointments for improvements.
You’ll combine door-to-door canvassing with pre-booked appointments, so confidence approaching people and working independently is essential.
The Role
- Visit residential properties across Cambridge and surrounding areas
- Speak with residents about water-efficiency services
- Complete straightforward property assessments, with full training provided
- Arrange appointments for suitable improvements
- Record information accurately using a tablet
- Work towards daily activity and appointment targets
What’s on Offer?
- £30,000 guaranteed annual salary

Working Hours
Working hours are generally 9am–5pm, with occasional weekend working required (one Saturday and one Sunday per month).
The four-week rota includes two long weekends off, either Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous door-to-door sales or canvassing experience – essential
- Confidence approaching residents and starting conversations
- Friendly, professional communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable and comfortable working towards targets
- Ability to work independently and outdoors
- Full UK driving licence and own car – essential
- Willingness to complete a basic DBS check
