Network Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain and design global networks for a leading high-frequency trading client, enabling low-latency connectivity and robust performance. You will collaborate with software engineers to align networks with trading strategies and exchange connectivity needs. The position offers a non-bureaucratic environment with broad autonomy to deliver impactful network solutions. You will work in a fast, technology-driven setting with a focus on scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate global networks across multiple locations
• Design networks for new offices and data centres
• Identify and implement low-latency networking solutions
• Provide support and troubleshooting for network technologies
• Analyze performance issues and optimize networks
• Collaborate with traders and engineers to tailor connectivity to exchanges

Key requirements

• 4+ years in a trade environment
• Strong knowledge of client-server architectures and network design
• Expert Cisco NX-OS/IOS skills
• Multicast Networking
• BGP, OSPF, MSDP, PIM protocols
• CCNP certified
• Unix/Linux proficiency
• Python or other scripting
• Experience with VPNs (IPSEC, GRE)
• Problem-solving mindset and delivering solutions to complex issues
