In this role you drive the design, delivery, and governance of large-scale ML and GenAI systems within 9fin’s data-centric platform. You’ll guide end-to-end model development, ensure production readiness, and shape data-intensive architectures in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll mentor engineers, promote engineering excellence, and push AI adoption across the company. Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex ML and GenAI systems aligned with business goals
• Oversee end-to-end model development from experimentation to deployment and monitoring
• Drive architectural decisions for data-intensive, AI-driven applications
• Mentor and grow engineers across levels, sharing best practices in ML/AI and cloud infra
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape roadmaps and balance innovation with delivery
• Champion engineering excellence across CI/CD, observability, and incident management
• Be a visible technical leader to drive company-wide AI/ML adoption

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in high-growth environments
• Strong people development, performance reviews, and inclusive team-building
• Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks, GenAI tooling, and modern data/infra stacks
• Hands-on experience deploying ML/GenAI systems in production in complex domains
• Ability to lead architectural discussions and trade-offs while delving into details when needed
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern MLOps practices
