Programme Manager Transport Delivery

Overview

In this role you will lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of regional transport programmes across the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority. You will work closely with partners to turn strategic priorities into tangible outcomes, shaping transport initiatives that support the Corporate Plan and the North East Transport Plan. The role combines programme management, due diligence, and funding negotiations to maximise value for money. You will thrive in a collaborative setting and help keep complex transport activity moving forward with insight-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more strategic transport programmes across the region to support delivery of the Corporate Plan and North East Transport Plan
• Carry out programme and project appraisals, due diligence, monitoring and evaluation
• Support partners and stakeholders in developing projects that deliver the North East Transport Plan
• Help develop funding bids and negotiate funding agreements to maximise outputs and value for money
