Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment (Contract)

Location: London / Remote

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Sector: Power Generation | CCGT | Design Review

Duration: Approximately 9 months (mix of full-time and part-time)

Key Responsibilities

• Review HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and air-cooled condenser (ACC) design and performance for large-scale combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) projects (500MW+).
• Check pressure parts, vessels, and heat exchangers for compliance and performance.
• Assess vendor guarantees and fabrication approaches.
• Evaluate static equipment bids before project execution.
• Report findings and recommendations to the client.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience on large-scale CCGT projects (500MW+).
• Around 15 years of engineering experience, ideally within power generation.
• Hands-on experience with HRSG and/or ACC equipment.
• Background in design review or as an owner’s engineer.
• Ability to attend occasional meetings in London.
