Working within a collaborative and high-performing HR team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities, whilst specialising in Early Careers Development. The role offers excellent variety and would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment, managing multiple processes and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating onboarding activity for trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, including pre-joining communications, inductions and right to work checks.
  • Organising and supporting future joiner events and Early Careers induction programmes.
  • Maintaining Early Careers records, trackers and HR systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Supporting SQE administration, including bookings, results tracking and processing related requests.
  • Assisting with trainee qualification processes, including preparation of qualification packs, scheduling meetings and processing relevant documentation.
  • Coordinating seat rotations and supporting trainee allocation processes.
  • Managing trainee secondment administration, including international and client secondments.
  • Overseeing mentoring, buddy and continuity partner programmes.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for trainee and apprenticeship queries, managing the team inbox and escalating matters where required.
  • Supporting employee relations processes relating to wellbeing, absence management and performance matters.
  • Assisting with holiday tracking, entitlement calculations and annual carry-forward processes.
  • Producing reports and monitoring trainee performance review completion.
  • Liaising regularly with internal teams including Recruitment, Learning & Development, HR Advisory and Finance.
  • Processing invoices and expenses.
  • Supporting HR and Early Careers projects, process improvements and operational efficiencies.

The successful candidate will be an organised and proactive HR professional with a genuine interest in Early Careers and talent development.

You will ideally possess:

  • Previous HR experience, ideally gained within an Early Careers, Graduate Recruitment or HR environment.
  • Experience working within a professional services or corporate setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a professional, confidential approach.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused attitude.
  • An interest in developing a long-term career within HR and Early Careers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected organisation that places significant emphasis on employee development, collaboration and career progression.

You will benefit from:

  • Exposure to the full trainee lifecycle.
  • A supportive and experienced HR team.
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities.
  • A varied and highly visible role with significant stakeholder interaction.
  • The chance to work within a market-leading professional services environment.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Hybrid working arrangements.

This position would suit an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, Early Careers Assistant or Graduate Recruitment Coordinator looking to take the next step in their HR career within a prestigious and highly regarded law firm.
