US Procurement Manager

Overview

In this role you will partner with the ViiV business to translate commercial strategies into procurement actions, delivering value across global spend and supplier networks. You will build strong cross-functional relationships to align procurement with business priorities, manage risk, and drive cost savings and top-line impact. The role supports ViiV’s mission to improve patient outcomes while advancing procurement capabilities within a fast-paced, global context. You will help shape supplier strategies and contribute to the broader ViiV and GSK goals.

Responsibilities

• Execute global sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories (commercial, corporate, tech) with a global mindset
• Be local expert for ViiV BU spend categories and ensure alignment with global category teams
• Deliver financial benefits per Savings methodology and secure transparency in budgeting
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms for ViiV
• Partner with ViiV stakeholders to understand needs, identify value opportunities, and align sourcing strategies
• Manage external supplier relationships, including contract execution and performance monitoring
• Identify new vendors and evaluate them against business requirements while tracking SLAs
• Develop procurement skills across tools and processes (onboarding, contracting, P2P, eSourcing, spend analysis, risk management)
• Contribute to supply chain transformation to improve responsiveness, cost control, and KPI-based management
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and communicate impacts to affected units

Key requirements

• 3+ years of procurement experience across multiple spend categories in a commercial environment
• Business stakeholder management and influencing, with ability to influence without formal authority
• Experience managing suppliers and performance management
• Track record of driving cost savings and articulating procurement value
• Ability to lead contract negotiations and demonstrate commercial/financial acumen
• Experience leading supplier tender/RFP processes
• Experience with Procure-to-Pay and Spend Analysis systems (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent experience
• Category experience within commercial areas (preferred)
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on sourcing projects (preferred)
