This role focuses on providing legal support for global franchise matters, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Franchise. The position is a full-time, hybrid role requiring expertise in commercial transactions and franchise law.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Degree: J.D., LLB, or equivalent international degree with strong academic credentials.
- Qualification: Admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales or eligible for limited licensure of in-house counsel in England and Wales.
- Experience: 4-6 years of commercial transactions experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Specialization: Direct experience with franchising or licensing models is mandatory.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft, review, and negotiate franchise and license agreements.
- Prepare franchise disclosure documents globally.
- Provide risk-based legal counsel to the Global Franchise Operations team.
- Support the development of a risk-based franchise compliance program.
- Assist in resolving pre-litigation contract disputes.
