Senior Software Engineer (C++ & Swift)

Overview

In this role you will contribute to building and refining the macOS codebase using modern C++ and Swift. You will lead projects from rapid prototyping to robust platform development, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions. You’ll participate in code reviews, write tests and documentation, and mentor teammates across languages. You will help advance our defence methodology against unknown cyber‑attacks, driving innovation within a collaborative R&D environment. This hybrid Cambridge role offers an opportunity to shape scalable security software within a fast‑growing company.

Responsibilities

• Build, design, and maintain the macOS codebase using modern C++ and Swift
• Lead and contribute to projects from prototyping to platform development
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust solutions

• Write and maintain tests, documentation, and developer enablement materials

Key requirements

• Strong experience in modern C++
• Experience with Swift or willingness to deepen expertise
• Knowledgeable in Unix/macOS development environments
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions
• Knowledgeable or interested in cyber‑security and malware forensics
• Experience in statistical analysis of static or dynamic systems
• Proficient with Docker
