Senior Legal Counsel

Overview

In this role you provide strategic, commercially focused legal guidance across Retail, Digital, Technology and operations to support growth projects. You will lead and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and act as a trusted adviser to cross-functional teams. You’ll influence decision-making by translating complex legal risk into actionable guidance, and help build a high-performing legal function. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice across retail, digital, technology and operational initiatives
• Lead drafting, negotiation and conclusion of a broad range of commercial agreements
• Partner with Retail, Technology, Digital, Marketing, Finance, People & Culture, and Supply Chain teams
• Influence business decision-making with legally sound but commercially practical guidance
• Drive legal excellence by improving processes and ways of working
• Monitor regulatory developments, manage external counsel when needed, and translate advice for the business

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 7-10+ years post-qualification experience
• Strong commercial contracting, drafting, negotiation and risk assessment
• Experience advising leaders on legal risk and balancing commercial objectives
• Proven ability to support complex operational change and transformation projects
• Strong stakeholder influence and relationship-building skills
• Global/sector knowledge with international or retail/fashion exposure preferred
