Payroll Manager

We are working with a well-established professional services firm in Aberdeen who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop their payroll function.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys leading a team, building strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement. You will take full ownership of the payroll department, overseeing day-to-day operations while playing a key role in developing the team, improving processes and supporting the continued growth of the service.

Key responsibilities will include:

n

• Leading, managing and developing the payroll team, providing support, coaching and guidance.

n

• Taking ownership of the overall performance and delivery of the payroll department.

n

• Overseeing client payrolls to ensure accuracy, compliance and deadlines are consistently met.

n

• Acting as the main point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and providing a high level of service.

n

• Managing complex payroll queries and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

n

• Overseeing year-end payroll activities, pension auto-enrolment and statutory reporting.

n

• Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation, GDPR and payroll best practice.

n

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, introduce automation and enhance service delivery.

n

• Supporting recruitment, training and development across the team.

n

• Contributing to business development opportunities and the continued growth of the payroll function.

This role is well suited for someone who has significant experience managing payrolls across a varied client portfolio whilst having experience of leading and developing a payroll team. Candidates with Sage Payroll and/or Xero Payroll would be encouraged to apply.
