This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we attract, engage and recruit talented people, ensuring we have the skills and expertise needed to support our schools and wider organisation.

About the role

You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end recruitment process for Professional Services appointments, partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to understand their workforce needs and deliver effective, tailored recruitment solutions.

From defining role requirements and developing attraction strategies to managing selection, offers and pre‑employment checks, you will ensure every vacancy is managed efficiently and every candidate receives a positive, professional experience.

Beyond day‑to‑day recruitment delivery, you will lead our organisation‑wide employer brand and talent attraction activity. You will develop compelling recruitment campaigns, strengthen our careers content, make effective use of digital and social channels, and build talent pools that help us connect with exceptional candidates for both current and future opportunities.

You will also champion a data‑led approach, using recruitment insight to evaluate campaign effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement and make informed recommendations that enhance service quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Working closely with the Recruitment Manager for Teaching, you will help shape a consistent, collaborative and forward‑thinking recruitment function across Haberdashers’ Elstree School.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading Professional Services recruitment: Delivering end‑to‑end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of corporate, operational, specialist and senior roles, with tailored strategies for hard‑to‑fill vacancies.
  • Strengthening our employer brand: Showcasing our organisation, culture and career opportunities through engaging recruitment campaigns, compelling content and effective digital channels.
  • Building future talent pipelines: Developing proactive sourcing strategies, talent pools and candidate communities to support current and future workforce needs.
  • Driving insight and performance: Using recruitment data, reporting and campaign evaluation to identify trends, improve outcomes and inform workforce planning.
  • Improving recruitment delivery: Enhancing processes, systems and standards to deliver a responsive, efficient and commercially aware service.
  • Partnering across the organisation: Building trusted relationships with hiring managers, senior leaders and colleagues across HR and Marketing, while working collaboratively to strengthen recruitment practice.

About you

You will be an experienced recruitment professional who understands how to balance excellent service delivery with commercial awareness, creative attraction strategies and continuous improvement.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment within a complex organisation, including Professional Services, corporate, operational or specialist appointments.
  • A proven ability to develop and deliver effective attraction strategies, including for hard‑to‑fill and senior roles.
  • Experience using direct sourcing, digital recruitment, targeted advertising and professional networks to reach high‑quality candidates.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence hiring managers and senior leaders.
  • Experience contributing to employer brand, recruitment marketing or talent attraction initiatives.
  • Experience within education or a multi‑site organisation would be advantageous, as would experience developing talent pools, managing digital recruitment channels and improving recruitment systems and processes.
  • Above all, you will be collaborative, commercially aware and committed to fair, inclusive and safeguarding‑focused recruitment practices.

Join Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools and help us attract the people who make a difference.
