Overview

In this Senior role, you will design and optimize Java-based systems intended for high-frequency, low-latency workloads. You will work within a global tech team to improve performance, memory usage, and networking on JVM-backed applications near the hardware level. You’ll tackle profiling, tuning, and architecture decisions to deliver reliable, high-throughput processing for real-time workflows. This opportunity appeals to experts who want to shape scalable, performance-focused trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance, low-latency Java applications
  • Perform advanced JVM profiling, GC analysis, and performance tuning
  • Build event-driven and reactive systems for high-frequency workloads
  • Optimize concurrency, memory management, data structures, and algorithms
  • Develop and optimize networking components using TCP/UDP
  • Utilize low-level Java technologies (JNI, Java Unsafe, JNR-FFI) for optimization
  • Analyze Linux and application performance, identify bottlenecks, implement improvements
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on architecture, development, testing, and production support

Key requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with Core Java
  • Strong JVM performance engineering and tuning experience
  • Excellent knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, data structures, algorithms
