Finance Data Platform Manager

Overview

In this role, you will design and own the finance data platform that supports governance, reporting, analytics, and AI for a CFO function. You’ll lead architecture decisions and engage with senior finance, data, and technology stakeholders across marquee programmes. You will ensure integration with the ERP estate and manage the platform’s quality, reconciliation, and deployment lifecycle. This is a client-facing role that blends platform design with hands-on delivery and people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of the finance data platform, from ingestion to curated data and analytics layers
• Own architecture discussions with clients and align stakeholders on trade-offs and deployment plans
• Design ERP integration strategies (SAP, Oracle) and governing pipelines (ETL/ELT, API, change data capture, streaming)
• Define finance master data structures and governance, lineage, and controls to support auditability
• Shape analytics and reporting layers, including semantic and metrics definitions for consistent dashboards
• Direct AI-enabled initiatives (predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, AI commentary) and manage human-in-the-loop governance
• Stay close to delivery, review data models, pipelines, and reports, and mentor the team on design decisions
• Build reusable assets and contribute to programme growth by capturing learnings from projects

Key requirements

• 7+ years delivering finance data platform work end to end
• Hands-on with one or more modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Palantir Foundry
• Experience integrating a data platform with ERP estate (SAP or Oracle) and related tooling (consolidation, close, reconciliation)
• Depth in enterprise structure, chart-of-accounts, and master data design on ERP programmes and platform builds
• Governance, lineage, and data-quality controls supporting a trustworthy finance data model
• Finance analytics and reporting experience, including semantic and metrics-layer design
• Exposure to AI-enabled solutions (predictive forecasting, agentic use cases); familiarity with SQL, APIs, and modern data integration; some Python/ML exposure
• Relevant cloud-data, platform or AI certifications, or professional finance/accounting qualification
