Lead Galebreaker’s Projects function across Industrial, Agricultural, Commercial and Installation activities, with accountability for customer projects from order handover through design, manufacture, installation and commercial close-out. Working through the specialist Team Leads, the Projects Manager will coordinate priorities, resources and performance, while remaining actively involved in project delivery and supporting the Installation Team Lead with project-management workload and cover. As a member of the Operational Leadership Team, the role will contribute to wider operational performance, decision-making and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead the complete project portfolio, setting clear priorities, ownership, programmes and resource requirements.
- Manage allocated projects from order handover to customer acceptance and close-out.
- Work alongside the Installation Team Lead to share project-management workload and provide effective cover.
- Coordinate Sales, Technical, Production, Supply Chain, Installation and Finance activities.
- Lead project reviews, handovers, close-out and lessons-learned actions.
Customer & Commercial
- Ensure professional customer communication and a consistent project experience.
- Coordinate surveys, approvals, contractual requirements, installation and handover.
- Monitor costs, margins, variations and invoicing milestones, escalating concerns promptly.
- Oversee PPQs, supplier approvals, compliance information and customer due diligence.
Systems & Documentation
- Own consistent project-management and ERP processes across the function.
- Ensure project status, costs, risks and responsibilities remain current and visible.
- Maintain effective document control for specifications, drawings, RAMS, installation information and completion records.
Improvement & Performance
- Standardise project handover, planning, escalation and close-out processes.
- Use project data, customer feedback, quality issues and installation feedback to drive improvement.
- Develop and report delivery, capacity and operational KPIs.
- Report performance, risks and resource needs to the Technical Director and Operational Leadership Team.
People & Business Leadership
- Line-manage and develop the Industrial, Agri/Commercial and Installation Team Leads.
- Set objectives and hold regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and appraisals.
- Retain Team Lead accountability for day-to-day team leadership, technical quality and performance.
- Review recruitment, succession, skills, training and capacity requirements.
- Represent Projects on the Operational Leadership Team and contribute to wider business decisions.

Applicant’s Profile
An experienced, hands-on project leader who combines people leadership, commercial awareness and practical delivery. The successful candidate will be organised, customer-focused and confident making operational decisions across a varied project portfolio.
Essential
- Proven delivery of multiple projects from handover to completion.
- Line-management experience, ideally developing Team Leads.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or a related environment.
- Strong planning, commercial, risk-management and stakeholder skills.
- Experience of ERP/project systems, RAMS and controlled documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Industrial, Commercial or Agricultural installation-project experience.
- Formal project-management or relevant technical/business qualification.
- Experience implementing ERP workflows, KPIs, Power BI or capacity planning.
- Knowledge of PPQs, supplier approvals and contractual documentation
