Data Analyst

Overview

In this Data Analyst role, you will transform data from multiple sources into actionable insights for one of the UK’s leading defence transformation programmes. You’ll influence strategy and programme delivery through data-driven reporting, dashboards, and governance. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, contributing to secure, impactful outcomes. Responsibilities

• Analyse complex data from multiple sources to provide actionable insight
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and Excel
• Ensure data quality, governance and assurance processes are robust, accurate and auditable
• Support campaign reviews, governance activities and key decision points through evidence-based reporting
• Collaborate with campaign leaders, solution teams and stakeholders to identify trends, risks and opportunities

Key requirements

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation)
• Experience analysing complex datasets and translating findings into business-focused recommendations
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, information security and data management principles
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards, data models and DAX-based reporting solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis to stakeholders
• Security Clearance capable (SC)
