Delivery Consultant – Migrations, AWS Professional Services

Overview

In this role, you guide customers through designing, implementing, and managing AWS solutions that align with business objectives. You oversee end-to-end migration assessments, applying AWS best practices and Well-Architected principles to large-scale data centre exit programs. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate dependencies, design wave plans, and drive successful migration outcomes across geographies and regulatory constraints. You help customers accelerate their cloud journey and realize tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio assessment for large application estates (1,000+ servers) and score apps across technical dimensions
• Apply migration decision tree to assign R-strategies and document rationale in Architecture Decision Records
• Build and maintain dependency maps from tooling data and owner interviews
• Design wave plans by grouping dependencies, balancing capacity, and respecting regulatory zones
• Run Tech Bridge sessions with application owners to validate dispositions and unblock migrations
• Feed wave planning into AWS Transform for factory readiness
• Identify and escalate risks to wave timelines and drive mitigations
• Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Replatform teams to address cross-cutting dependencies

Key requirements

• 3+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, large-scale project delivery in migration programs
• Experience leading large-scale data centre exit programs or hands-on infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and virtualization
• Experience with portfolio assessment and application disposition on large VMware estates (1,000+ servers)
• Experience with application discovery and dependency mapping tools (e.g., ModelizeIT, AWS Application Discovery Service, or equivalent)
• Experience with wave planning: dependency grouping, capacity balancing, multi-geography coordination under regulatory constraints
