High Performance. High Reward. No Passengers.
At BWS, we’re building a team of ambitious, customer-focused people who take pride in doing the job properly.
We’re not looking for someone who wants to coast, or a marketing manager who only wants to set the strategy and hand the delivery to somebody else.
We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands‑on marketer who enjoys turning ideas into action, solving problems, taking ownership and being recognised for the results they deliver.
The Opportunity
BWS is a growing group of fire, security and electrical businesses, currently generating approximately £13 million in revenue and targeting growth beyond £30 million through organic expansion and acquisitions.
This is a new and influential role, with the opportunity to build the operational backbone of our group marketing function.
As ourGroup Marketing Manager, you’ll own the day‑to‑day execution of marketing activity across the group. You’ll turn growth priorities into live campaigns, compelling content and measurable inbound demand for our sales and service teams.
This is a broad, execution‑led role. You’ll work across multiple brands, service lines and channels, while helping us strengthen our marketing systems, reporting, brand consistency and approach to integrating newly acquired businesses.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver multi‑channel campaigns across SEO, paid search, paid social, email, content and marketing automation
- Create and coordinate sector‑led, compliance‑led and problem‑solving content
- Own the day‑to‑day management of our websites and digital platforms
- Improve local SEO, website performance and conversion
- Manage the handover of leads between marketing and sales
- Develop case studies, proof points, sales collateral and sector‑specific campaigns
- Support upsell, cross‑sell and contract renewal activity
- Administer our CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Build trusted dashboards covering lead volume, conversion and channel performance
- Monitor campaign budgets, performance and return
- Coordinate agencies, freelancers and external suppliers
- Maintain consistent messaging and brand standards across the group
- Support the marketing integration of newly acquired businesses
- Work closely with sales, service teams and senior leadership to ensure marketing activity translates into commercial results.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally bring:
- Marketing management experience within B2B services, engineering, compliance, facilities management or another regulated‑services environment
- Hands‑on experience delivering campaigns across SEO, PPC, content, email and marketing automation
- Practical experience using CRM systems, reporting tools and marketing dashboards
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- The ability to manage several campaigns and priorities simultaneously
- Confidence working directly with senior leaders
- A proactive, organised and adaptable approach
- The credibility to work effectively with sales teams, operational leaders and frontline colleagues
- A strong sense of ownership and the drive to make things happen without waiting to be told.
This is a doing role, not a purely strategic one.
You’ll be expected to build the plan, create the campaign, improve the process, track the results and identify what we should do more of, improve or stop.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 12 months, success will include:
- Delivering a consistent, high‑quality campaign and content calendar
- Creating clean and well‑adopted CRM and reporting processes
- Building marketing dashboards that leadership can trust
- Improving lead quality and reducing cost per lead
- Establishing consistent branding across group touchpoints
- Strengthening the handover and working relationship between marketing and sales
- Bringing marketing activity from newly acquired businesses into the group’s systems and reporting framework.
Our Values
Everything we do is built around:
- Relentless Customer Service – Customers come first.
- Teamwork & Collaboration – We win together.
- Open & Honest Communication – Say it straight, say it early.
- Positive Attitude – Bring energy, not excuses.
- Accountability & Delivery – Own the outcome.
- Learning & Continuous Improvement – Always raise the bar.
What You’ll Get
- Performance‑related reward opportunities
- Pension
- Training and professional development
- Career progression as the group and marketing function grow
- A broad remit across multiple brands and service lines
- Direct exposure to the group’s senior leadership team
- The opportunity to influence how marketing operates across the entire group
- Meaningful involvement in acquisitions, brand integration and group‑wide marketing transformation
The role will initially work directly with the CEO, COO or Group Chief Commercial Officer. Once appointed, the role will transition into the Group Growth Marketing Director’s reporting line.
Why BWS?
Because high performers deserve to work with other high performers.
This is a ground‑floor opportunity to shape how marketing is delivered across a growing group. You won’t inherit a narrow, single‑channel remit or spend your time simply managing agencies. You’ll have the freedom and accountability to build campaigns, improve systems, generate demand and see the commercial impact of your work.
If you’re the type of marketer who takes pride in execution, holds yourself to high standards and wants to help build something rather than simply maintain it, we’d love to hear from you.
Join BWS. Take ownership. Generate growth. Build something that lasts.
