Full-time, PermanentWe are looking for a Design Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Cornwall.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Design Manager or experienced Design Engineer to take responsibility for an established CAD design team, overseeing the design and development of bespoke engineered products from initial concept through to manufacture.The successful candidate will have strong 3D CAD experience, alongside a background in mechanical engineering, fabrication or bespoke manufacturing.The Role:Managing and supporting an experienced team of CAD Designers and Design EngineersOverseeing design projects from initial concept through to manufactureProducing and reviewing detailed 3D models, technical drawings and manufacturing documentationWorking closely with production and project management teamsEnsuring designs are practical, cost-effective and suitable for manufactureManaging design workloads, project deadlines and technical prioritiesSupporting continuous improvement across the design departmentRequirements:Strong experience 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, NX etc.)Background in mechanical design, fabrication or bespoke manufacturingPrevious experience leading or managing a design teamGood understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufactureAbility to interpret and review detailed engineering drawingsStrong organisational, communication and problem-solving skillsApplications are also welcomed from experienced Senior or Lead Design Engineers looking to take the next step into management.Candidates considering relocation to Cornwall are encouraged to apply.Salary:
