Legal & Compliance Officer (Part-Time, Remote)
Coopman Search and Selection is recruiting for a newly launched, FCA-authorised investment management firm in the London Area. This is a part-time, fully remote role (initially 2 days per week) for a Legal & Compliance Officer to support day-to-day compliance activities and commercial legal requirements.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Previous experience in a legal, compliance, or combined legal/compliance role.
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance processes (FCA exposure is advantageous but not essential).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously within a small team.
- No specific jurisdictional or asset management experience is required.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Support day-to-day administration of FCA regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain compliance training records, personal account dealing declarations, and gifts/entertainment registers.
- Assist with compliance monitoring, internal reporting, and policy maintenance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate routine commercial agreements (vendor contracts, NDAs).
- Support drafting and review of employment contracts.
- Assist with transaction-related legal matters alongside external counsel.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisers on legal and regulatory matters.
