Director, Business Transformation | Corporate Finance

Overview

In this role you drive technology-led value creation for private equity clients by assessing IT maturity, enabling scale, and guiding post‑deal integration. You collaborate with portfolio leadership to identify automation, cloud, and modernization opportunities while ensuring IT readiness and risk management. The position sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and deal strategy, offering high visibility and meaningful impact in fast-paced environments. You will solve complex tech challenges and translate technical findings into commercial insights to accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate IT architecture, infrastructure, product roadmaps, cybersecurity posture and technical debt
• Identify scalability constraints, single points of failure, and hidden cost drivers
• Quantify capex/opex investments to enable growth plans
• Identify automation, cloud migration, and platform consolidation opportunities
• Build investment cases for modernization and cost optimization
• Assess IT team’s ability to deliver the technology roadmap
• Define IT TSAs and separation requirements for deals
• Develop Day 1 readiness plans for infrastructure, access, data, and security
• Lead carve-out IT builds, system migrations, or platform integrations during post‑deal phases
• Collaborate with CTOs, CIOs, and engineering leads to deliver change

Key requirements

• Experience in technology consulting, IT due diligence, software engineering, product management, or IT transformation
• Familiarity with modern tech stacks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and roadmaps
• Experience with or advising PE-backed businesses

• Strong stakeholder management with technical and non-technical audiences
• Proactive, hands-on mindset and willingness to work directly with data, processes, and systems
• Ability to translate technical/operational issues into clear commercial insights
