Programme Manager

Overview

In this role you lead large, multi-project transformation programmes for public and private sector clients, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes. You work with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and PMO to provide governance, risk management, and commercial oversight across the programme lifecycle. The role combines strategic leadership with team development in a regulated, globally distributed environment. You will shape programmes that drive measurable business benefits and align with contractual commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex programmes to achieve strategic objectives and business benefits
• Establish and maintain programme governance, reporting, risk management, and assurance activities
• Manage programme financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and contracts
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, executives, suppliers, and key stakeholders; act as escalation point
• Coach and develop programme teams to foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale programmes with multiple projects, dependencies, and stakeholders
• Strong governance, risk management, and delivery assurance expertise
• Financial and commercial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level influencing skills
• Experience leading geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary delivery teams
