Legionella Commercial Technical Lead

Overview

In this role you will combine business development with technical expertise in water hygiene and Legionella compliance to grow the water hygiene division. You will identify and secure new commercial contracts, generate leads, and expand services through cross-selling. You will prepare technical proposals and bids, conduct site audits, and review RAMS while advising on Legionella issues. You will balance commercial objectives with high technical and regulatory standards, working hybrid in Essex.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new commercial and industrial contracts within water hygiene and Legionella compliance
• Generate leads through networking, prospecting, referrals and industry events
• Develop existing client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities and expand service offerings
• Prepare, scope and price technical proposals, tenders, remedial quotations and bids
• Conduct technical site audits to ensure quality of delivery and compliance with contract specifications
• Prepare and review complex risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Provide expert technical advice on domestic hot and cold water systems, including complex Legionella-related issues
• Support clients with remedial solutions and technical escalations

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in water hygiene, water treatment or Legionella compliance
• Proven track record in business development and securing commercial contracts
• Strong technical understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems, ACoP L8 and HSG274
• Experience producing technical proposals, tenders and RAMS
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with technical quality and compliance
