Program Manager

Overview

In this role you lead strategic, cross-functional programs across business areas and regions to deliver measurable value. You’ll define strategy, governance, and delivery plans, while managing risks and dependencies. You partner with sponsors to quantify benefits, track adoption, and ensure post-launch performance. You’ll guide stakeholders through ambiguity, drive change, and coach delivery professionals. A focus on AI-enabled and automated approaches helps scale capabilities with responsible oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead major, multi-area programs with clear strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery plans
• Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, constraints, and change impacts; implement mitigation and escalation
• Collaborate with sponsors to define value, track benefits, adoption, readiness, and post-launch performance
• Frame options in ambiguous situations and recommend paths using data on business, customers, operations, and delivery
• Align senior stakeholders on priorities, scope, resources, and outcomes; influence decisions without direct authority
• Provide concise, decision-focused communication for executives and teams; ensure visibility of health, changes, risks, and actions
• Lead the people side of change; support readiness and adoption of new products, processes, and ways of working
• Mentor project managers and delivery professionals; share practices that improve execution quality
• Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance planning, research, scenario analysis, risk identification, and reporting while ensuring AI outputs are responsibly overseen
• Identify opportunities to simplify end-to-end processes, test at scale, and capture lessons learned
• Help teams adopt new tools and practices by communicating purpose and addressing capability gaps
• Challenge unclear outcomes and non-value-added approaches to protect business value

Key requirements

• 8+ years of progressive project and program management experience
• Ability to create program strategy, integrated plans, governance, and executive decision structures in ambiguous environments
• Proven success influencing senior stakeholders and leading without direct authority
• Strong experience managing program risks, dependencies, budgets, and benefits or outcomes
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for varied audiences
• Experience using data and modern project, collaboration, automation, or AI-enabled tools
• Working knowledge of responsible AI practices including oversight, data protection, and escalation
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
