Property Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead property and estate management for the NLFT portfolio of 40 sites across five boroughs. You will drive estate asset management, focusing on landlord/tenant arrangements, leases and financial aspects, while ensuring data supports strategic property planning. You will collaborate with internal teams, landlords, tenants and advisers to protect and optimise the Trust’s property interests. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a mission-driven NHS estate setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage landlord/tenant and estate affairs, including lease/licence negotiations and renewals
• Oversee rent and service charge administration, valuations and rent reviews
• Maintain the property terrier and ensure data informs strategic property plans
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, landlords, tenants, agents and advisers to protect property interests
• Provide clear, practical property advice and manage a varied caseload
• Lead operational estate asset management activities across the portfolio

Key requirements

• Experience in commercial property or estate management
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of leases, valuations and property-related financial management
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and provide practical property guidance
• Experience in budgeting and financial controls
• Experience in obtaining data to support decision-making
