Commercial Finance Manager

Overview

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will enableClinical performance and profitability across Circle Health Group’s hospitals by delivering rigorous financial insight and governance. You will partner with hospital senior management to interpret KPIs, revenue, costs and EBITDAR, and ensure disciplined cost management and capital appraisal. You will lead financial planning, provide training on financial tools, and drive high standards in process quality. This role offers impact across multiple sites in a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare group.

Responsibilities

• Provide finance support to hospital senior management and interpret operational and financial performance (KPIs, trends, revenue, costs, EBITDAR)
• Enforce Circle Health Group financial control policies and approval/authority limits
• Lead cost management, working capital optimization, and rigorous appraisal of business development and capital proposals
• Drive hospital-level financial planning and monitoring
• Act as a regional expert, offering guidance and ad hoc training on financial matters and tools
• Promote consistency and quality in financial processes and chart of accounts/ cost centres
• Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior finance role
• Experience in multi-site or distributed environments with local P&L responsibility
• Proven track record of managing change within the finance function
• Strong technology skills including computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to quickly appraise complex situations and identify key issues
• Formal finance qualification
