Senior VP Credit Risk SME/Developer

Overview

In this role you lead the Credit Risk Analytics IT team to design, integrate, and operate the risk platform used across international MUFG subsidiaries. You will shape strategy and architecture for the FRA-based risk engine, drive delivery of risk projects, and ensure regulatory alignment. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, high-quality risk analytics and adopt innovative technologies. This is a chance to influence how credit risk is calculated and reported at a global scale while building a high-performing, security-conscious team.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the strategic architecture of the international risk platform
• Deliver multi-project risk initiatives and manage scope, planning, and dependencies
• Ensure transparent delivery status, risks, and dependencies across stakeholders
• Advise on technical design decisions and act as SME for credit risk concepts and regulatory drivers
• Lead hiring, performance management and talent retention aligned with executive expectations
• Ensure compliance with mandatory activities, audits, and security vulnerability management
• Oversee daily delivery of credit risk measures within SLA
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams and foster engineering and risk culture
• Represent the team in governance forums and risk transformation initiatives

Key requirements

• Experience leading and implementing PFE analytic solutions in cloud environments
• Strong .NET, C#, and SQL development background
• Experience with large-scale financial risk applications and risk engines
• Familiarity with Market Risk (VAR, Stress, FRTB) and FRA platform
• Ability to manage dispersed teams across locations and stakeholders
